FAQs

Before we Begin

  • If you’re looking for a structured, evidence-based approach focused on real change—not just talking—this may be a good fit. I work best with adults who want clarity, skills, and direction, whether they’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready to grow.

  • The first session focuses on understanding what brings you here and getting a clear picture of your current life, background, and needs. We’ll do a gentle history-taking, discuss what you’d like to change, and talk about how we might work together. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance—just come as you are.

  • Yes. I offer online therapy, in-person sessions in Athens, and walking sessions in quiet outdoor settings. We can discuss what format works best for you during the consultation.

  • Yes. I offer a 20-minute complimentary consultation online so you can ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and decide whether we’re a good fit—without pressure.

  • This practice does not provide emergency services. If you are in immediate distress or danger, please contact 112, 1018 (Suicide Prevention Hotline – Greece), or your nearest emergency department.

  • My approach is semi-structured. Sessions are flexible and responsive to what you bring, but always guided by clear goals and evidence-based methods. I aim to balance openness with direction, so therapy feels contained, purposeful, and effective.

  • No. Many people come to therapy feeling confused, stuck, or overwhelmed without a clear label. Part of the work is clarifying what’s happening and identifying what you’d like to change. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.

  • Yes. I often work with high-functioning individuals who are successful externally but struggling internally. Therapy can help you understand patterns, reduce mental strain, and build skills that support clarity, balance, and sustainable growth.

  • Both — but with intention. We may explore aspects of your past when they help us understand current patterns. The focus, however, remains on your present life and on building skills that support meaningful change moving forward.

  • Therapy works best when it extends beyond the session. At times, I may suggest simple reflections, observations, or practical exercises to try between sessions. These are always discussed collaboratively and adjusted to your capacity and life demands.
